Archive purchassed games
Is there a way to archive the games to a storage drive without installing them in Windows? The concern is not having access to downloads during network outages or if Steam should go bust. (Yea remote possibility but hey I have OCD and I like to have everything in one place)

Thanks for the input but its the right answer for the wrong question. I want to back up all content to a storage drive but not install it and then if/when a network issue crops up, to be able to install and run from my massive storage array.

Nope didnt work, you have to install the game before you get the option to back up game files'

Yes and no. You can make backups of your installations ,which compresses the files back to a preinstall state and then save those on an external HDD or so.
If you later want to reinstall the game you can do that from those archives.
BUT, you still need an internet connection when you restore the archive since Steam needs to verify ownership of the game in the archive.
Without internet it wont let you reinstall the files.

So basically if anything happens to Steam or my network connection all 455 games are so much wasted 1's and 0's :( bummer.
