It is disgusting that there is no way of contacting Steam and disputing a refund. Are there no 'hot' bodies employed there? I am beyond angry on my son's behalf!!!!!
Where can a person name and shame them - this is unacceptable!!!!!

Steam's refund policy is very clear

https://store.steampowered.com/steam_refunds/

If you don't qualify for a refund then you won't get one. If you want a refund of a game, ensure you stay within the refund limits. Once you go outside, that's on you.

If you have a support question about a game post in that game's game hub

On top of what Satoru has added, Valve has these refund boundaries in place for a reason.

But as for the licenses themselves, you can't simply rule out that they don't work then claim a refund by the drop of a bat which is why, the moment you know the game does not work, you are given that window to remedy the problem.

And you cannot blame Valve for everything.

You need to care especially when it does concern yours or your son's.account. If you do not care, why did you or your son agree to Steam's TOS in the first place.

Support won't assist you if you carry that "I don't care" around and just expect a free hand out.

Steam support will manually look into your refund request even if youre outiside of the time frame but if they did and decided no then thats final. Nobody here can do anything for you.

Ps I am kinda confused though. Im not sure whether you actually contacted support for refund or just couldnt find a way to do so.

Log in to the Steam client - click on steam support - click on help at the top of the screen - click on 'Purchases' - click on the purchase of the game - I have a question about this purchase - explain the issue.
Si-Fi 2018年10月14日 23時39分
Provided that your claim is constructive enough in the explanation, there is always consideration but then again, every user including myself has agreed to the TOS and abided by the 2 hours or 14 days boundary Valve has set out.

Why do you keep lying to people about this?

You can get a refund when over the limits. It's not impossible.

Don't forget that those are Valve's initial guidelines so Satoru isn't technically lying by stating a fact.
it's a super small chance, but if you email valve you can dispute your refund that's out of their limits if the case is believable.

google exists, and what i just said is literally the first result on google for this.

My son is 13 years old and on the autistic spectrum as many of your account holders are. He went without another item he wanted so that he could purchase this game for when another ASD child came to play yesterday. Last night he came into the house
(office is outside) sobbing saying that he had so looked forward to playing the game and it wouldn't work properly. As you can imagine - he tried the game and probably did a whole lot of
YouTube research trying to 'fix' or learn to play. Call this determination - rather than taking advantage of a 'not working' game on Steam. I calmed him down and said it was all right and he would get his refund. This morning was sobbing again when he received your email. As with many children on the spectrum (and him being dyslexic too) they are emotionally extremely fragile. I'm sure that your could make and exception to your rule seeing how many games he has on Steam and how often he plays. Your consideration will be greatly appreciated. With thanks, Beryl (mom)
Posting Generic sob story #5 in the forums won't help your case especially when the profile you are posting from doesn't support the stories details.

You know his difficulties. You should be supervising. You should be there to make the purchase and you should check the system beforehand. Steam is not to blame because your child exceeded refund policy limits. You are. I'm sorry your child has difficulties but you are the responsible adult that is his support.

My nephew, a little younger than your son, 11, is also on the Autistic spectrum. So I do have some experience in this area. Not a parents like yourself but still some experience.

In future check all new purchases yourself. Don't leave that sort of responsibility for a child with known difficulties.

that's not an email, you're still on the forum.
i'm also on the spectrum of autism, im just very high functioning in almost every aspect of life.
i get that you're the parent and you want your kid to have the best in life, but don't try to get him out of everything because of his autism. i had to learn how to do stuff by myself at the age of 13 because my mom forcefed me with easy ways out.
not telling you how to parent, just giving you advice because i was on the recieving end of that.
Si-Fi 2018年10月15日 2時48分
This tends to raise the bar a little, but I can't blame neither you or your child as it is only a mistake though as Suicidal Monkey stated, with a child to be in the Autistic spectrum, it is advisable despite whatever capabilities they have is to have that responsibility over your child regardless.
