You might just need to remap the triggers in the binding for the game you're playing, this happens since the triggers are digital and most games expect them to be analog.
I noticed this happening when then throttle and break was real weird in Rocket League, I changed them to digital or something and it worked.

I am using this configuration, so basically the basic set-up. I know that everything is bound properly, the left and right triggers are the issue. They will only work for a split second.
I thought I changed it so it worked.. I can't find any difference though..
I will try RL again with the controller, you try fiddling with the trigger settings yourself.
This issue was for Rocket League where Throttles didn't work however all other buttons did.
