no steam dont give an option to do what spotify is saying its their fault

Spotify is not Steam and neither is Steam Spotify.

I second that as being the reason. The browser in steam is a very highly modified and stripped down version of Chromium that we don't have access to to update or install anything to.
Use a browser outside of Steam to run spotify. That's the only option you have.

the steam browser worked fine untill last update, they ♥♥♥♥'d it up. It was the best way to listen music while playing without having to jump to desktop everytime u need to change the volume

If you have volume controls on your keyboard or if you're using a laptop there are volume controls on it. It's possible to use them to change the volume.

Steam has been screwing a lot of things up in the last few years.

lol....Spotify is a third party program ....a good one. Same thing with YouTube, but Valve is under no obligation to support those two programs.
