Activating key for a game banned in my country is it possible??

Want to play Vampyr but it got banned where i live is it possible to buy key from legit sites like GMG, DL gamer etc anyone here who has gone through something like this??

Well there is a difference between " game not available on store" in your region and outright banned/region locked. If its the first then there should be no problem to activate a key for the game in your country.
If there is a region/activation lock on that game then even a key activation will not work.
So try to research whats the case for you.

PS: On another note, why would Vampyr be banned in your country? o.o
Just recently played through that game and while its a nice story driven vampire RPG, i really
dont see anything banworthy in it.
Its not especially bloody, there is no nudity or sex and nothing really offensive?

Not available in Saudi Arabia. Not sure about Pakistan. Probably is though.

There are 2 types of unavailability of keys/games.

1. Activation Lock - Keys or games like these are blocked from being activated. Meaning you cannot redeem these keys or add the games to your library if they are locked from your country. Usually purchasing from legitimate sources will infrom you of this. However, should you manage to activate them, you should be able to play them.

2. Region Lock - Keys and games are activatable but you cannot play them in country that is not specified. Example, a EU game key can be activated in ASIA, you cannot play them.

Region Lock are rare these days as activation lock is widely used. ROW (Rest of the World) keys are even rarer. Perhaps Amazon still sells them but you will not be able to enjoy the currency localization.

GMG's support said that if i can make a purchase through their site than it will be activated in my country tho they wouldn't refund once i get the key so i don't know what to do now i have sent an email to DL Gamer asking them what they will do.

I live in Saudia tho and no it's not banned in Pakistan

This is what happened [www.gamesindustry.biz] Report was that 47 games got banned some games in the list got removed from Steam store like GTA V, Wolfenstein II, Mafia series and Vampyr but Witcher 3, WD2 are still available

so gta v on ps4 is absolutely playable and even the micro transactions work, the physical game is only sold no digital versions. has anyone in the middle east manage to activate a steam key or rockstar key for gta v from a legit site or no?
