can't add friends on steam despite having spent more than 5$

I can't add friends on steam despite having spent the 5$ required to do so.
I have tried blocking and unblocking the person I want to add but that didn't work either.
If someone has a solution I could really use it.

You ARE still limited so whatever it was didn't work.

If you received the money as market sales or a DIGITAL gift then that won't work as it unlocks the user that paid for it, not the person that received the gift.

if you added the money via credit card or a typed in code then it should work as long as it is the equivalent of $5 USD or more.

I tried many people but it didn't add them
my currency is pound and the money I've spent on steam market is more than 5 US dollars

Receiving Steam Wallet in form of a digital gift card through a friend doesn't count.

Same with me I added $50 dollars from the steam gift card and I also bought dota plus and added $10 more dollars and still can’t add friends!

Your account isn't limited. If you get the error about your account being limited, give it an hour or two to sort itself out.

Have the accout for almost 10 years now and i could add before but now no i have waited for almost a month now and still can’t add friends
