Microsoft store’s game in Steam library
Hi there!

I started using the Xbox Game Pass beta. Games from the game pass are installed as Microsoft store’s apps, meaning: installed in a very weird way in the "Windows Apps" directory nobody (even with admin’s rights) can access. Those apps are supposed to be started in a very different way than regular .exe files.

My problem being, I’d like to use only the Steam launcher to start all my games, but I don’t see how to include those games in the Steam library.

Anyone would have an idea please?

That’s really a mess to add, but that should work.

Thanks a lot!

So, for those interested I just created a very quick and dirty windows apps that lists and allow to easily copy those pathes to insert in Steam.

The binary (and the sources) can be downloaded here: https://github.com/sfoutrier/WinAppsLinker/releases/tag/0.0.1

The selected line is copied to clipboard when you select it. (don’t scratch your head on how to copy-paste the thing).
