Can't install logitech profiler for use with g25 racing wheel
Hi all,
Bought a g25 racing wheel--running a fresh install of win10. Windows recognizes the wheel in device manager, but everytime I try to download the latest drivers/software thru logitech it starts the installation and then just skips it entirely and says it's done. A quick search in the program files just brings up a 'steering wheel.dll' but no logitech profiler program. The steering wheel under device manager says there are no drivers installed.

Ive restarted in safe mode, and tried running as admin--obviously no dice. Im stumped here. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Do you need a profiler program in the first place?

I believe so. Or whatever the program that's associated with the drivers for that wheel. Thats what they direct me to on thr logitech website.

You don't need any of this stuff. The only important part is the driver which is, according to your OP, already installed. In fact, installing as nothing as possible is a great way to avoid tons of problems.

Right, but i think you misread my post. Device manager shows there are no drivers installed.

Well, what happens when you attempt to install the driver through device manager?

Doesn't give me the option to. It's greyed out.

Ok. What's the status of the thing in the device manager?

POSSIBLE FIX: Hey man i had that exact problem today. I didnt touch my G25 for a while and just recently reinstalled windows 10. What i did that made it work is this :

- First of all there is no driver for g25 so dont look for that
- Second you must now if your operating system is 32 or 64 bit

Now all you have to do is go here : https://support.logi.com/hc/en-us/articles/360024699674--Downloads-G27-Racing-Wheel and click Show All Downloads
After that select your operating system OS and download the correct setup for your windows 10 (Either 32 or 64 which one you have) Then run the setup just like before and it should install correctly now

Oh one more thing... i advise you to have your g25 plugged in before running the setup because after it finishes it throws you right into configuration

I hope this helps cause i know how frustrating it is to make your g25 work properly :P

JohnnyS ,you just saved my G25 from the junk yard! I had to google for a fix for my G25 and Windows 10 1909! thank you so much agan. I wish Logitech added the x64 drivers to the G25 page.

Another vote for JohnnyS being a legend!
Was lucky to find this thread on Google.
Logitech are ♥♥♥♥♥ for not updating the download links on the G25 software page!! :steamfacepalm:
Picking G27 let me get the 64bit profiler software and it got the wheel going after hours of frustration!
Thanks man!

this worked to get the profiler working thx JhonnyS, even the customer service guys at logitech didn't know how to do that, sent me to a page with no downloads the cretin, but get this people, i had the actual wheel working a few days ago under the gt legends game, it took a while but it was working in fact 2x as i have 2 g25's one is bust goes loose after a few seconds driving and a 2nd wheel i bought without any pedals or gear controller, so i tried one of them took some time but eventually was working albeit on 180 deg? mode and then it went lose tried a few times then realized this was my original wheel, or the other wheel had the same issue omg no!, so i tried the other wheel and it worked fine :-) well ff was a bit excessive and the range was ridiculous lol 120 or 190 deg w/e but it worked, HOWEVER i then needed an update from nvidia for my video drivers ,,so i did that rebooted as required, tried the wheel again and nothing, remember i had no profiler working at this point,,,,the device shows up in device manager, and also in the peripherals icon screen, says drivers are loaded and working, but the wheel will not self calibrate even though the profiler reacts to button presses, the steering itself is unresponsive, and i don't know how to fix it, rememebr it was working just a few days ago after prob years of not being used. then bang 15 mins later nothing....why would a video gfx driver update cause this?...sods law i guess..

Win 10 (1909)

thx
