Even my high end motherboard only has enough slots for basically 6 sata drives
This strike me as 'solving the wrong problem'
Steam settings>library folders.
If your game is already installed just rightclick that game >properties>local files tab>move installation files and point to the steam folder on the drive of choice
I hope that is explained good enough

If not, maybe (software) raid some drives together? Losing everything on it in the case of failure when it's just downloaded steam games isn't that big of a deal.
Have a great May Day, and an even better future.
