Steam doesn´t find PS3 controller anymore
I tried to connect my ps3 controller yesterday and steam recognized it, but the right stick wasn´t functioning properly so I searched the internet and someone advised installing SCPtoolkit and now steam won´t recognize the controller anymore. I already uninstalled everything SCPtoolkit related but steam still won´t recognize the controller anymore. What can I do to fix it? I actually found a solution to the right stick problem, if only I could make the controller recognizable again. It's an original DS3 connected through cable.

Open your device manager & uninstall the driver (which is still the SCP driver, I suppose). Remember to tick that "Yup, actually uninstall the driver" check box. Then replug the gamepad. That should help.

I wonder where you got the previous driver from, the one which worked before you installed the SCP driver over it. Last time I checked, the only way to get PS gamepad drivers was PSNow. Who knows, maybe Sony finally came to senses.

Ok. So after you've uninistalled the driver (whilst checking that "remove it for good" check box), unplugging & replugging the gamepad, what exactly does it appear as afterwards?

Also, see if installing PSNow helps (with your gamepad unplugged, plug it in afterwards). Last time I checked, PSNow is the only way to get Sony's driver.
