Every time I quit Steam it gets stuck trying to "finish cloud sync"

Anyone know what's going on? I'm not sure if there is a recent game I installed that has issues or what, but I have to wait until I can EXIT NOW and basically cancel the cloud sync. Never had this issue until a few days ago and can't figure out how to fix it.

Any help is appreciated.

When its doing the finish cloud sync will it close steam at all or is it stuck there?

Something seems to act up. I don't know what, but you can turn it off (I always have it off for example):

Click on View > Settings > select Cloud in the left column > and uncheck enable cloud synchronization for applications that support it.

You can make manual backups, if you want.

This has been happening for a couple days now. It doesn't appear tied to any specific game, though I wonder if it's perhaps the Steam client beta. Are you signed up for that too?

Yes, it gets stuck there and never finishes. Should have mentioned that.

For stop the sync to happen follow this under

First press on steam/settings/cloud, uncheck the enable steam cloud sync

I have been having this happen to me too all of a sudden, for about a week now.

Edit: Appears to be a known bug, Steam is trying to fix it

Same here. When quit Steam still "Finish cloud sync" i have this problems 2 days ago. I think the last 3-4 steam updates.

I turned off the Steam beta and no more problem. I'll maybe switch back to beta when it is fixed.
