Steam crashing on fresh Ubuntu install

I had steam running fine on this same machine yesterday but I reinstalled Ubuntu because I was having nvidia driver trouble. The driver looks to be working now, but steam is crashing :( please help

Running Steam on ubuntu 20.04 64-bit
