Titanfall 2 with Steam overlay ran at first, now it doesn't.
I'm on Windows 10. Not sure what changed with the game or maybe a Windows patch in the past day, but I haven't done anything different in the last few days. Everything ran without a problem, just launching Titanfall 2 through Steam (and through Origin of course). Origin overlay was disabled in the first place, I turned it back on and tried it, then back off and tried it, that didn't fix the Steam overlay. Tried removing/adding Titanfall 2 to Steam again, that didn't either. Made sure to restart my computer on each attempt of these.

Might be because I ran Xsplit (a streaming program) to stream some gameplay for a while. Though I remember the overlay still worked after I did that.

This isn't extremely important or necessary. I just like taking Steam screencaps when I execute someone in multiplayer.

Not sure how I could fix this. I did try running it with Xsplit and even Origin closed, still nothing (it made Origin open before launching the game).

I saw a recommendation to launch origin.exe through steam, which worked for me. Specifically, with origin off, add it as a non-steam game, rename it to Titanfall 2 (or really whatever you want, "Awful EA pain simulator"), launch origin through steam, wait for origin to be started, and then launch Titanfall 2 through origin. By doing this I'm able to get the Steam overlay to work and I can take screencaps of neck snapping and smooshing people with mechs.

Not sure what happened from the beginning, on day 0 I was able to just play Titanfall 2 directly through Steam but I'm sure awful origin patched that out.

this doesn't work anymore, it just breaks titanfall 2

Just went to origin and some stupid ♥♥♥♥ is blocking half of screen for no good reason. No wonder i don't play their games any more. They make it almost impossible.

Yeah I tried it yesterday and it doesn't work anymore. Sad really, makes me not want to play the game. I love Titanfall 2, but origin is just awful.

Try contacting their support. Maybe they'll fix it.
