Watch Dogs 2 Uplay Activation Code?

So usually when I buy an Ubisoft game on steam it comes with a Uplay activation code. When I preordered Watch Dogs 2, there was no code. Wondering if I need to wait until the game is released to get one.

Ubisoft changed their activation methods and no longer uses keys. It will be activated automatically on UPlay the first time you start the game.

Did you also notice that the release date for steam is the 29th? I was going to pre-order as well, but when it actually comes out on the 15th if steam isn't releasing until late ill just get it for ps4.

you do know the publisher sets the release dates for different platforms, right?

It's November 15th on consoles and November 29th on PC.

I'm not sure if thats a typo or the actual date for steam. maybe they have it in there wrong and if so they need to fix it because they are losing my money just for not offering it on its release date.

Has nothing to do with Steam as ALL PC copies are released on November 29th, including those bought retail or directly on UPlay.
