Are there any reprocutions for moving Steam outside of Program Files (x86)?
I want to install Europa Barbarorum 2 for Medieval 2 Total War but it says that I need to move my steamapps folder outside of Program files(x86) otherwise it wont work. Is there any downside to doing this that I should know of before doing it? Please let me know. Thanks for the help!

Follow the instructions in Moving a Steam Installation and Games and there should be no issues.
