Unable to remove game
I'm trying to remove a game from my steam account but the uninstall is not there. I have right clicked the game name gone to manage but uninstall is not there. I have tried restarting the computer and steam but his has not fixed it. I have checked other installed games but they do not have it as well. Any suggestions of how to fix this?

What specific game is it? If it's a Valve game it is permanent, and cannot be removed. If it's something else, need to know which game it is anyway.

It is a valve game, I have checked all of the games and its the same with every one, none of them have the uninstall option. The one I was specifically trying to uninstall was the sims 3.

uh, Sims3 is not a VALVe game.

You can by it though the steam store, which is where I got that version. The ones on my computer are not the EA cd versions. That is what I meant by valve game, sorry if I did not make that clear.

Have you tried removing the non-Steam game from all categories?

Valve produces specific games. Steam is where you buy everyone's games. So yeah that's not a valve game, and you should probably remove it via the Origin installer which is required to use the Sims.

that doesn't make it a VALVe game. If it's on the Steam store, it just like any other game, developed and published by someone else, just sold on the Steam store...

There are thousands of games on Steam, only a handful are actually developed by VALVe.

Terminology is important in communications.

I was able to fix the problem, it was a steam issues that required steam to be uninstalled in the apps and feature. This forced it to do a small update and everything works again.
In worst case delete the game ones folder. And the appmanifest file in the folder before that
Nothing bad should remain.

If you uninstall steam all games are deleted

Well I don't know what to say, it did not delete all of my games. It could have been a recent patch that merely got removed or some things else. All I know is that everything now works as it should and I can now see the uninstall in steam again.
Good. Next time read how to make fresh install of steam, instead of uninstall it.
