Yeah ive already done that, its under Network Adaptors.
Try wiring up directly to your router and turning wi-fi off on your computer and see if it still happens.
It could also be an anti-virus program or some other form of security denying those games from using the internet.
and yes Offcial its know as user end that cause this , well either way talk with ISP, but do check with cable , and update router or bypass router if even can that, just because its seen as users own problem , in rare casses, its a combination with you and ISP, i will not go into detail but i dont know isp side of this , so why bother with things you are not in controll off.
just tell them what i said and ask do he know the term here, before he do as me and almost 100% sure its your end. i did not say its not your end, its more a problem to proof this.
get a friend laptop you know work at hes place , and try confirm same result you have , or bypass own router if possible and do tell ISP you did this. because either you got proof or you found a issue in own network.
ps.
if you are not educated in this or read about it, you will not know the term.
so your problem is do support at isp even know it, or just a first level support that dont know.
dont be rude , but be firm and get a technician on the case if they brush you off, and its here you have done the friend laptop that proof it.( this is not about nail ISP , this is hardcord network technicaic you need that know better. )
Have you tried connecting your PC with an ethernet cable to see if it still happens? If using a cable based connection works, then you most likely need some proper wi-fi adapter, or a solution to use a cable based connection permanently. I'd recommend the latter anyway.
Once im in a game its perfect.
Im thinking its the Wireless adaptor like Cathulhu said. It turns priorities down if it cant hack it. If its in a game it keeps working perfectly.
Test your internet speed on several devices before blaming the computer.
Cheap doesn't mean junk. Sometimes the only thing we pay more for is a name (brand).
It could be your internet connection or router that's crapping out.
It could also be your wi-fi signal strength.
Giving a specific connection priority doesn't exist if it wasn't manually set up by someone.
Have you checked your internet speed and quality on several devices, is it the same?
How is your wi-fi signal / Have you tried wiring up directly to the modem or router?
Just ran a speed test. 140mps which is typical from other tests and other devises.
Signal strength always shows max bars.
A friend on discord had me run a ping test through command prompt for packet loses. It came back no loses.
It was wondering if it was worth opening ports?
Its been perfect all night since this post? Its weird. Did i fix it? Or is it temperamental? Guess ill find out tomorrow...
Did you test your connection several times or just once? If it's bugging out one test isn't going to show that.
What server did you ping? That matters. If you didn't ping the game servers it's happening on you didn't test where the problem is. If you didn't test where the problem is that's not really test of anything. A ping test is quite useless to do, too, if the game or a server list shows your ping or latency (ping / latency = same thing).
Do you know the IP address and port of the server? Some of them aren't easy to get.
It probably isn't anything to do with ports.
