I Want to Change My Game ID

Whilst I understand that my Steam ID cannot be changed, there is a message that says " Your player name can be changed at any time in your Steam Community settings, under "Edit my SteamID page". Can someone walk me through this? I cannot find these settings. I don't want to use my real name any more.

Player same and Steam ID are not the same things. In other words, you can change your "profile nickname" at any time, but your "account login" name stays the same for obvious reasons.

To change the nick: View Profile -> Edit Profile

Sidenote on your name: Jim Lawson is one of the greatest comic artists in history, so it's not a bad name to have.

1. First Hover/Click your name

STORE, LIBRARY, COMMUNITY and YOURNAME <----- Hover over you name

Or

Click our name top right with avatar and wallet balance.

Then

2. Profile/view profile
3. Edit profile
4. Enter name in the Profile name box
5. Save (bottom of page)

Thanks to both of you. I thought that was my Steam ID, not my game ID.
