Free DLC's not working - family sharing

I'm playing the game in the family sharing mode and the other account have the 2 Free DLC's (tunig and garage customization) but in mine not. I've already saw that DLC's should be in this type of sharing but there aren't. Someone can help me?

Check that the "host" account has actually downloaded the DLC? As far as I know, even free DLC needs to be "activated".

Edit: There was some quirk with free DLC last year, but I'm pretty sure they sorted that. As long as you don't own the base game you should be able to access the DLC according to what I can find in the FAQ.

Thanks for answering me, so basicly I have to purchase the game. That's not right.

DLC and in-game content
A borrower will have access to the lender's games and DLC, but only if the borrower does not also own the base game. If a they already own the game, they'll need to purchase the DLC themselves in order to play it. For free to play games, DLC cannot be shared since all Steam users "own" the game.

I ran into a similar problem with Tropico 4 and it's DLC.

Don't forget that Steam doesn't see themselves in the business of making content available for free.

Publishers aren't exactly pressuring them to make DLCs available through family sharing either -- and mind you, publishers are the ACTUAL or at least MAIN customer of Steam. Steam has no issues with you getting pissed because you're not getting a DLC for free, but they can't survive if too many publishers abandon ship to take their business elsewhere...

2023. I have the same issue with Vampire Survivors, Dave the Diver (Dredge Content Pack Free DLC) and Horizon Chase Turbo.
I think that Valve should do something, or else we will just have to buy the games on other platforms.

You mean the other platforms that dont have Family Share at all and also no free DLC sharing?

You mean the other platforms that dont have Family Share at all and also no free DLC sharing?

I mean the Jack Sparrow platform, but also PlayStation has family sharing too. A lot of friends use it to play even at the same time and online with each other.
