Edit: There was some quirk with free DLC last year, but I'm pretty sure they sorted that. As long as you don't own the base game you should be able to access the DLC according to what I can find in the FAQ.

Publishers aren't exactly pressuring them to make DLCs available through family sharing either -- and mind you, publishers are the ACTUAL or at least MAIN customer of Steam. Steam has no issues with you getting pissed because you're not getting a DLC for free, but they can't survive if too many publishers abandon ship to take their business elsewhere...
I think that Valve should do something, or else we will just have to buy the games on other platforms.
You mean the other platforms that dont have Family Share at all and also no free DLC sharing?
I mean the Jack Sparrow platform, but also PlayStation has family sharing too. A lot of friends use it to play even at the same time and online with each other.
