HELP ! unable to restore a game I own !

almost reach the end of the process, but end up with a window missing the "Next" button.

anyone ? also : cant find where I can reach steam support directly.

So you removed a game from self help?

To restore game, type game name into search section, click on game, click on not in my library, then click restore button. That's all there is to it, that simple.

If you didn't remove game, instead you had the game set to hidden, on client top left, click VIEW, then click hidden, and you see it, that easy to find.

If you setup Family view, which is parental control, if you set it up, then you either disable it, or unhide the games you wanted hidden from parental control.

Hi ! first : thanks for your time, I appreciate ! ....so no : not uninstalled. Old account revived on new machine. and nope : nothing in "hidden" too... here is the scenario ( cant post pic of missing button) : I go "add game" , then select to enter my license #, then system reply "this product is already registered with this account. Press next to Download and Install the game" ....and.....at the bottom.... a "Finish" button....a "Back" button....and, in between the two.....blank, niet, nothing, rien, nada.. see ? ....Thanks again and Cheers !

You have to download the games if you're on a different account and they aren't on the hard drive of the new computer. You don't have to claim them again, that account will always have those games on it.

The games are tied to your account, not the computer. If you're successfully logged into the account which the games were activated, you only need to go to your library in the client and start installing the games to the new computer.

You only redeem the key once, as keys can only be used once, and remains on your account, you go to your library, and click install, when installed, click play, and you're playing your game pretty simple.

You can check your game licensess that you have on the account you're posting from, if you don't see it then means couple of thiongs, either you're on wrong account, or you had the game removed under self help section, which you just need to restore it under the self help.

thank you all for taking a moment to reply ! unfortunately, despite the good advice's aimed at helping me , none worked. I ended up opening a ticket with steam. ....there is one thing no one reffered to here : The link to the screenshoot showing the missing NEXT button....did the link worked ? someone saw it ? ...asking out of curiosity here. all in all , and in the end : thank you all again for the time spent trying to bring help , I appreciate !

Yes, we saw it. It did not display in your post because your account currently doesn't allow links but we can see it if we quote the message.

That's a normal problem when redeeming a key that you already own. The message says "Click next to proceed to installation." but there is no "next" to click. Just click on FINISH and go to your library where the game should be listed.

You select the game and on the game's page to the right you should see a blue button that says INSTALL. Click that to install the game. It will eventually turn green and say PLAY. Click on PLAY to play the game.

@rawWwRrr : interesting ! at least someone acknowledge the fact that the NEXT button is not showing ! ...so , yeah , I did click the finish button , went in my library , but still : no such "don't starve" game. all the other games associated with my account are showing....

So exactly how many games do you own? Because this account that you've been talking to us with only shows owning 1 game last purchased back on May 19, 2010.

@Dr.Shadowds confirming : dont starve. clicked the link, selected "not in my library" , and it brought me to the ticket I opened with steam.

@rawWwRrr : the only "purchased" game I own is Don't Starve , and 2010 is right on the spot where I first got it. ....out of curiosity , would you be aware of a way to download the game package , so I can install it , and THEN link the install to my steam account ? ...thinking out loud here...

Are you sure? Because the game was only for pre order during 2012, and release in 2013.

That what rawWwRrr pointing to. As there no keys before 2012, as it wasn't even listed on Steam until 2012. But since you submitted a ticket, just wait for support to reply may take 1 - 3 days for them to reply.
