Steam account restriction
So I have been alerted that my account has been restricted and it has been stated that I have charged back my steam funds. I use a service called truemoney wallet for Thailand and I would like to know if anyone was getting the same problem I have been using it for a while now but it hasn't had any problems. If it's possible can I get some insight from people who have had the same problem with truemoney wallet and how do I resolve this problem?

Im also having this chargeback problem, my credit card is a Visa and im with one of the biggest bank of Quebec(Canada), im not with some weird bank. I got this steam alert where they said i have problem with the transaction, that i have a disputed transaction.

This is all false! I have contacted my bank there is no problem, i bought over 400 games on steam, there is absolutly no reason my account should be restricted, i wrote to the support 3 days ago and still have 0 reply, this is unnacceptable.
To me the most annoying aspect of this is any form of acknowledgement from steam or any response of any kind. To be locked out of your inventory, steam market and steam store as well as being unable to play on certain games that use VAC anti cheat is unacceptable. I still have a large inventory from my CS:GO playing days and being unable to trade is potentially costing me £100's. If I had a bank account that was locked through no fault of my own and unable to access my money you can be damn sure I would be demanding answers and seeking compensation. I don't think steam should be held any less accountable. After speaking to my bank again they have said that if it's not resolved the best thing to do is open a fraud case through them in relation of withholding goods that have been paid for. I suggest you guys also speak to your banks regarding this.

Steam's reddit is a good place to go, have everyone comment and upvote this issue there and they will take notice of it.

Same issue has happened to me. Bought two copies of Raft on the 6th of June and then the copy I bought for myself was taken from me and the restriction was added to my account. Opened the ticket 2 days ago and still have had no response.

Has anyone managed to get their restriction lifted yet??? This is so frustrating. I can't even activate products on Steam that I purchased on different sites.

I am experiencing the same problem: I received an alert on Steam for a chargeback I never did.

I contacted my credit card company to know more and they confirmed there is no problem on their side: payment was authorized.

I can see, from my credit card statement, payment was accepted and money were transferred to Steam.

So why Steam thinks I am doing a chargeback when I definitely did not and, most importantly, money are already deposited in Steam bank account?

Game purchased on June 6th
I received the notification on June 9th (if I recall well)
Opened a ticket on June 9th but have not yet received any answer

Found someone who got respond from Steam support on the reddit post and it doesn't seem like they even know there's an issue...Steam support simply told the guy to use an alternate payment method to complete future purchases and than close the case.the reply was sent on June 11th.

I saw that post. How can I use an alternate payment method if my account is blocked? I am guessing it will be even more blocked after a month has passed.

If that's their stance, I am not even going to bother and I'll simply have to start over on another platform. I certainly am NOT going to get double billed for their screw up.

My alert seems to be gone. Gonna try a purchase now. Keep in mind that I've opened a ticket in June 9th.

I was able to purchase GG:Strive without any issues with the same card.

my restriction has been lifted. i no longer have the account alert and i can sell inventory items. still never got a response from my support ticket though

Nope, not yet. Ticket is still open though.
