Steam client crashes at login screen after a few seconds
Everytime I try to login to steam client, the window just automatically closes after 4 seconds when I'm trying to input my login details. Theres no error message or anything the window just closes.

I have already tried the following:
- reinstalling steam
- running steam as administrator
- restarting pc
- disabling antivirus

I've been experiencing the same issue as well. I'm not sure if this is a widespread issue or not.

I finally managed to resolve my issue after pulling my hair out for the last 2 days. What worked for me was removing any usbs connected to my PC and plugging only the mouse+keyboard in, after doing this I was then able to get steam working again. I think the issue may have something to do with my gamepad controller. Give this a try and see if it works

I have the same issue since Monday. When my Logitech G920 is plugged in, then the Steam client will not start. Also when I start Steam without the G920 and plug it in later, then the client will crash again.
With connected Steam Controller I do not have this issue.

Same issue here and it seems to be some interferences with Logitech G HUB and my Pro X headphones. When reconnecting the USB for my headphones, steam client work as it should.

FYI: A workaround that works at least on my machine:
- Unplug Logitech G920 (or any other USB device)
- Start Steam
- Once Steam is running, wait a few minutes
- Plug in the Logitech G920

It seems that only during the start up pashe the Steam Client has an issue with connected USB devices.
