How do I upload higher quality screenshots?

When I upload screenshots they look lower quality, and I have Steam saving uncompressed shots to my folder which look good, but is there anyway my uploads to Steam are the uncompressed ones?

Fix em up, enhance them in an image editor then upload to Steam as Artwok.
Or use Ansel from Nvidia if game supports it.
Check Nvidia Ansel if your game is supported takes teh best screenshots.

hey, steam always compresses files a bit during the upload, but to get a little better overally image quality, i upload uncompressed ones with a program called SteaScree.

that also allows you to upload shots that you edited / polished in photoshop or something else before the upload.

I peeked at your screenshots and my thought is the games I saw you shared screenshots of don't have high quality graphics to begin with. As "M" mentioned it's possible Steam compresses them at some point when they're uploaded a little. My screen shots are the same quality as the game and graphics settings I use. A screenshot is only capable of being the quality of the source it came from.

Other suggestions saying use a graphics editor; Here[www.adobe.com] is that idea explained by the experts, Adobe.

Free alternatives to PhotoShop like Paint.net, Gimp, usually have similar options and features.

Steam is still going to compress them a bit, if they do do that (I don't doubt they do). There's no way around that. Using a different program isn't going to help that situation at all.

ignore the URL, that's it's name. It's a free alternative that's extremely similar to Adobe's PhotoShop.
