Cannot add videos or Link youtube channel
For years now I still cannot get this to work. Obviously others can do so but I can't find any info in forums as to how to do so and Steam support is of course no help at all. I must be missing something obvious as this shouldn't be such an issue for so long. I have seen no way to directly upload videos though steam and trying to link my youtube channel through the Steam video link always tells me it's unsecure and to use another source, but there is no other source option I've seen. Can someone shed some light on this for me please.

is there a way to make steam use a browser other that whatever internal source browser it is set to?

But you have another browser on your computer. Use that.

No, but can still log into Steam via a browser like Chrome, Edge, Firefox, etc. As a matter of fact, I'm writing this message via Chrome. The issue that you are having with YouTube will not be a factor when using a browser to access Steam.

No. But why don't you want to simply do all that stuff from another browser?

Steam top left corner>settings>web browser.
Whatever your default browser is stick it here as well, tick to allow desktop web browsers to automatically log into Steam sites

When i tried through the steam app i got the same problem, then i did it through google chrome and it processed without errors.

But now I am facing another problem, my videos only appear on my profile, I wanted them to also appear on the game page that I linked.

I already checked and the videos on youtube are public and embed is activated. Why don't the videos appear to the community?

That may work for many, unfortunately trying to login via browser does not accept my password, hasn't since shortly after I started using steam. Changing password doesn't change this and steam support is, as always, utterly useless.

this has no effect at all, no matter what I change it to, it always reverts to "www.google.com". Although when I hit the link youtube button, the bbox always goes white at first before showing the youtube login page, after that I get the unsecure error every time.

I believe once you have them on your profile there is a share button somewhere, but as I cannot put up videos, it's only speculation.
I'm struggling with this issue, too. Can you be logged into the app AND log in from a separate browser at the same time without creating conflicts?

I ran into the same issue, the solution is to ensure you are signed into the correct YouTube account in whatever browser (i used chrome) and then sign into the steam website via the same web browser, then click on your profile, then go to videos, then click add account. If you are successfully signed into your YouTube channel already then it will give you an option to select a channel if you have more than one, then you can add videos normally, but I don't believe it will transfer your YouTube info over to the actual steam application

P.S. sorry to necropost

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately I have never been able to log in to steam through a browser and have never gotten a response from Steam support to remedy the issue despite numerous requests. But that does seem to work for most.
