SERIAL CODE PROBLEM

just bought a game code put it in then the verification server died on me when the code was being validated. Now the code wont work at all please help :(

So the game not in your library? What does the error message say?

This might be an issue support will have to look at if the game is existing in some kinda "in-between" state. Even saying that, it doesn't seem likely.

First, check the license list on your account: https://store.steampowered.com/account/licenses/

Also, what does it say when you are trying to redeem the code?

I don't believe Steam made the horrible mistake to not make the redemption an atomic transaction. So, if the system tells you that the code has been used before, I'm inclined to ask where you bought the key. If it's one of the wordfiltered sites, it's actually much more likely that they simply gave you a used code...

Yeah, you need to ask them about that key and why Steam's having problems with it.

Have you tried it again recently, it's maintenance day so servers going down and things messing up is very common on tuesdays.

Code say not valid?

Are you sure this is not a code for Origin? Go check where you got the key from, and see what store does it say it is for.

Are you sure this is not a code for Origin? Go check where you got the key from, and see what store does it say it is for.

i just looked up the game on cdkey it does say origin on my side of town..

Yup, Codes for Need for Speed Shift activate on Origin, not on Steam.
