Controller issues PLEASE HELP!
I have been playing warzone on battle.net for a month or so using a ps4 controller and recently I jumped on steam (madden) with the same controller. Now when I jump back on warzone none of my buttons work and it's acting as if the controller has no configurations to the game. How can I reverse this issue I've tried everything I can think of...

You running the game via Steam, or without Steam for warzone?

Try unplugging, and repluging, or restart PC see what happens when you launch warzone.

I have been running warzone through battle.net I've tried overlaying warzone through steam to use the controller configurations that steam has provided my ps4 controller with but it didn't work. I have reset the pc and controller and I just tested my Xbox controller and it doesn't work on warzone anymore either. I have reinstalled warzone and same issue... I did notice that the center of my ps4 controller acts as a mouse pad now? It never did that before I logged onto steam to play madden.

Take Steam out of the equation entirely. Can you control Warzone, without Steam, with your gamepad?

Try what ReBoot suggested, shutdown Steam, and test controller with the game.

Try using SteamGridDB manager, it's a really handle tool that helps add your games to Steam client from other game clients.

Check your Steam settings for controller. https://imgur.com/jG9ohVm

I heard that Warzone added PS4 controller support, but it only works when wired for it. I haven't play Warzone, so I don't know much.

When I jump into warzone like I normally do through battle.net it loads up and I change it from keyboard and mouse to controller and I registers it but my analogs and buttons don't work at all and when I start a game it says I'm using a controller but nothing works also when I press the ps button in the middle of the controller it opens up steam which it used to not do anything... I have tried to delete the memory of the ps4 controller from steam but it doesn't work 🤔

Close Steam entirely. So it doesn't run at-♥♥♥♥♥♥♥-all. Then do that stuff again.

I really appreciate the help, I'll mess with it some more and let you know if and what I did to resolve this issue 👍

If want to stop Steam big picture mode to be trigger by controller button you can do this on Windows 10, go into your Windows settings and check the box for "Open Xbox game bar"

click start > Click on the cog / gear icon > Click on gaming > Then just check the box for "Open Xbox game bar"

This will take focus away from Steam client for the guide button, and no your Xbox game bar will not show, or launch because you need to turn it on, if you don't want game bar, leave it off. You only want to check the box for Open game bar that all.

What non-steam game are you trying to play with controller?

so i found a solution, but it was a more than likely obsure problem. The issue lay in the fact that call of duty was detecting my keyboard as a controller rather than my actual controller. i had to disable one of the drivers on my keyboard. before doing all that though, try unplugging your keyboard and seeing if the controller works. if so, then keyboard is the problem!

YES!!! This solved it for me. I have a huntsman v2 analog but I thought I already disabled it as a controller.. very weird but once I unpluged the keyboard my controller worked perfectly. Thanks very much man!
