Should I be worried about my userdata folder (potentially compromised)?
As far as I'm aware the userdata folder is supposed to contain a single folder for your account and then within that, a six digit numbered folder corresponding to each game. My userdata folder contains 30-some folders, named as numbers with 8-10 digits, each containing a single folder labeled "ugcmsgcache" with a single CACHEDMSG file inside. Also there's one folder called "ac" with several empty, numbered folders in that.

In this mess I cannot find the 6-digit game folders anywhere and am worried that my account may be compromised. Does anyone what this problem is and how to fix it if necessary?

update: I had overlooked the one that has my game files in it, so I found what I was initially looking for. I am still concerned that there are so many folders in my userdata. Can/should I just delete all the other folders or is my account compromised and I need to start reinstalling everything and changing passwords?

Your account is not compromised because of those folders in your userdata folder. They all serve a purpose. Don't just randomly start deleting them.

Thank you, I don't know a lot about this. There's not a lot of info I could find on this other than the reference that there is only supposed to be one folder, and a guy who found other actual accounts in there.
Out of curiosity do you know what the purpose of the extra folders is?

Yeah, I don't personally have a need to micro manage my userdata folder.

And most of the time those details are so boring (even to a developer) that it's just not worth fussing over.

And it doesn't take too much effort to find that pattern "as far as you know" isn't absolute and it's just boring cache data.

This is the first time I've gone through, and if these folders are normal and I can just ignore them then thank you for the help!

It just bugged me that they were the right numbers to be SteamID3s and some even came up as public accounts. That's probably the case with any random set of 8-10 numbers and I'm just paranoid.

Most of them are game related, pointing to different save file or configuration locations or screenshots, etc. Others are specific to your account like saving the names of your collections and what games go into each collection, etc. Your userdata folder is for just that, your user data.
