help with my first steam game- blood trail

Hi, I downloaded steam and installed my first game today. I go to run the game and soon as I hit play it gives me an option to play it in steam VR mode or with oculus vr mode. No matter what option I pick, within seconds after making the selection it appears to freezes up.

I tried to reinstall steam but same thing happends. Any ideas how I can get it to work?

Some games include support for VR and lists that under the Game name in our library, maybe you clicked on the wrong launcher, Infortunately we cant disable the VR.
