False Phising Alert
Hey everybody!

I've been getting these weird alerts about Valve's emails, they are flagged as web forgery by Google Safe Browsing stating it's a deceptive site. The emails are legit, I get the warnings with each receipt of a Steam purchase and I receive regular ones from cards sells/purchases.

I've already filled a form stating that it's a false positive but I still get them and it's been a while now. Anybody else experiencing the same? I tried searching the forum but only found legit phishing scams. How can I contact Valve about this? Is there a Send Feedback option somewhere? I couldn't find any. I'm using Postbox as my email client btw.

Do they refund your purchases?

Nope, they were regular receipts for Steam Card purchases/sells, I've been completing a set to craft a badge and all the emails I got had the same warning stating Valve's domain as it contained phishing links, tried purchasing a couple DLCs to see if it was just Steam Card related but the same happened.

Just noticed opening them on Android won't show the alert. I can press the ignore button but it's getting kind of annoying.

Is it possible you accidentally added the Steampowered domain to the blocklist in your email client?

This doesn't sound like a Valve issue, but an e-mail client issue.

Report them as false positives to what company hosts your email.

I checked but Steam domain isn't in the blocklist, the weird thing is that it's Google's Safe Browsing thing that's showing the alert not my email client, but in Android's Gmail no alert is shown. You may be right though, the lack of info about this online makes me think this is related only to my setup, gonna try reaching out to Google and my email client support to sort this out, I'll update.

Done that multiple times, not sure it's working.
