Steam gift card
A friend who lives in the United States wants to send me money on Steam but we don't know what the amount of money is according to my local currency. We know that Steam turn the money to my local currency so could someone tell me what is the equivalent of a $150 (dollars) Steam gift card in Argentine pesos? Thanks a lot :steamhappy:

Yes, that's what google says, but I'm sure that Steam doesn't handle the same prices and I think the amount would be different :lunar2020thinkingtiger:

Well, yeah, there may be a difference, but it's going to small. As far as we know, Steam mirrors current exchange rates pretty close. If Google says $150 is worth 13478 pesos, then you should expect to get that or close to it.

I do not know, I am seeing that the most expensive steam gift cards cost $ 100 and the equivalent in my country are 3500, therefore I suspect that 100 dollars of steam could be only 3500 and not the almost 9000 according to google :lunar2020thinkingtiger:

Physical cards not in your currency can no longer be redeemed.

Tell them to send you a digital gift card directly through Steam instead.

Yes, I have read it and that's what I mean, from what I saw $100 is the highest price in dollars but in pesos it is 3600, therefore I am afraid that he will spend US$100 and I only get AR$3600

Why can't they send you a $100 USD digital gift card AND a $50 USD digital gift card?

I think you do not understand my point, US$100 = AR$ 8985. My fear is that he will send me US$100 and instead of AR$8985 I only get AR$3600.

You already got the best answer you can get. Exchange rates are constantly fluctuating. What someone gets now may be different in a few hours.
