unable to launch any games

stuff was working last night. but today, no matter what title i pick, it comes up with the dialog you see when you try and launch a game that's still downloading. except there is no progress bar, and the dialog says the game is ready. but the play button is unavailable. WTH steam!?

Could be signs of 64 bit app and you have a 32 bit OS

ahh sorry my mind did the mistake here and trasnlate into fadeout button here and forgot all the other games.

restart steam dont help ( assume app crash )

And you dont think system spec and game name can help, and browse to local steam install and click launch game own .exe file to see if it trigger error msg.

dont get foolled by some game own launch menu some has that then ame .exe could be in a bin folder.

figured it out. it was thatt stupid Steamworks redistributable package that wanted to update. don't know why it was blocking me like that, my games are already installed, and their dependant packages have long since been installed. it must be some new weird requirement made by valve.

yeah VC has cause issue , require game say a error msg.

since so much software uses the VC redist's i make it a habit of keeping all the x86 and x64 versions installed by habit. guess steam doesn't care and wants to me to choke down the steamworks common redist anyways.
