Can I get my steam points back?

I just bought an emblem using 6000 points and then I noticed it expires in a month.
I don't want it if I can't use it more than that.
can I get my points back as steam gets the points from me if I refund a game and buy some othres?
The FAQ soesn't mention anything, why is that?

What emblem? I only know of the seasonal profile that expires, but that on is 5000 points.

A seasonal emblem.

There should be something that mentions that the emblem expires where you buy it.

I understood that these expire.

They don't disappear after you purchase them, ever.

They will be removed from the points shop before the next seasonal badge is added though.

Use it for what? A badge grants XP, you already have the XP from that badge, there's nothing more

Use it to replace something like 7 years on steam that I don't like much.
