PC thinks there is a controller connected, and freaks out in game
I recently started using a dual shock 4, and up until now it has been working just fine. I have toggled between DS4 for Windows and normal input without issues. Today I launched no mans sky, and suddenly my pc freaked out. When I play a game that supports controller input, it is constantly looking to the right, as if I have stick drift (its a new controller, and this is way more than any stick drift). This even happens when ds4 is not running and my controller is completely unplugged. Also, if I use a keyboard and mouse input, it begins to flicker between keyboard and controller button prompts in game, all the while turning to the right as before. No mans sky is not running in the background, neither is ds4, and my controller is completely disconnected. Also, steam big picture mode seems to think there is a PS3 controller connected. I have indeed turned by PC off and back on again. Nothing. Any help would be appreciated.

That's a typical sign of the system indeed thinking there's a controller connected. Open your device manager and see, there's likely a virtual gamepad there.
give me a tutorial please, because i dont know what the ♥♥♥♥ a virtual gamepad is
