Only use pictures on stuff you created.

Downloading and uploading images from someone else without asking for permission is basically stealing.
I don't think it will affect your guide posting permissions.
Maybe if you make a lot of customizations to the image, it becomes less of a problem? Like, if they can no longer easily recognize it from the original image.
