Can't check account value.
For years I have seen people check the value of their accounts but have never been able to get it to work for myself, all my settings say public but every website says my privacy settings are wrong. Any idea what I am doing wrong here?

To answer the question, I am not looking to sell the account as my kids play on here and I worked hard on my knife kills achievements.

Your account does not have any value anyway.
By the way, you are not allowed to give anyone access to your account, not even your kids.
Make them their own accounts and use Family Share. Limit the access to certain games by using Family View if necessary.

As accounts are not to be sold they lack a value.

If you only just made the game data public it can take some time before sites can view the data.

Third party sites may only update once a day meaning it could take a day for those to reflect the change in privacy settings. Even then it won't be a value based on what you've spent. It'll be a min and max.

Min = Every game purchased at it's lowest possible price.
Max = Every game purchased at it's full/highest price.

here you go, ( ID on any user.) can take up to a 1 / 24 hour before it's updated.

not sure what websites you're using, but steamdb seems to calculate it just fine:

but as others have said, take it as a simple curiosity rather than actual meaningful measurement.

I actually used that site before I posted, post #2, and it was all private at the time. Like I said then it was simply a time delay issue after changing from private to public status.

I understand there's no value to the account really, its just for a laugh so I understand the estimate is nonsense really. Thank you for the help though guys.

They play on my PC, my eldest uses his own account and I share it through the family share with him but when they're at my house they just jump on is what i meant. Also the sites only ask for your public profile, it gets no more data than you would viewing it now and id never give the login info or anything to anyone.
