Family Sharing still working after password change
I have family sharing enabled for my brothers computer but want to change my steam password now. If I change it do I have to enable family sharing for his computer again or will it still be turned on?

It will still work. Family Share once its activated on your brothers pc will stay activated till you revoke it in your Family Share settings.
Your password change has no influence on it.

oh thank you and I have another question. I haven't found a clear answer to it. If I change my password to a new one is it theoretical possible to change it back to my old password or can I never use the exact old one again?

You can change it to whatever you want at any time, even a previous password you already used in the past.

It can be denied. A manual ticket would be required if you go over on the 2 hour play time or 2 weeks of ownership but can still be denied.

I can state, that family sharing does NOT work anymore after a password change.
That is, if you use different computers.

The option itself gets turned off.
You can turn it back on, but all the autorized computers are removed.

So if you change your password, then log onto your computer, only that computer will be in the list then.
The computer from your family member will be removed.

Without the autorized computer, your family member can't play the games on their own computer anymore.

So unless you are willing to not change your password or live close enough to do the login with the QR-code, you can not properly share your libary anymore.

That's a change which must have happened recenently, cause when we shared our libaries years ago, this wasn't a problem.

Now we do have this issue and we live 2 1/2 hours car drive away from each other....

Hoping Steam will fix this, but I doubt that :)

Hello, did you happen to find a solution to this?

Just tried this. It works after the password has been changed for the owner of library. At first it will lock the games but you have to request access (borrow) which the owner will approve and library share will be back.

My friends lose acess to the library after a password change and there is a error when they try to request acess. Anyone found a way to solve this?
