How do you delete steam cloud save game files?
I've been trying to play LISA, and it has a bunch of save games I don't want and I want a fresh start. I have a save game (saved in my downloads) of the first checkpoint. How would I go about replacing the steam cloud saves with this single save. Just wiping all of the old save is fine too.

Can choose either option.

- If want to keep current online cloud saves, but don't want cloud save to download to you. Disable cloud save, then delete the saves, and you get a fresh new start.

Right click on game, click on properties, then uncheck box for cloud save support.

- If you want to replace online cloud saves with new ones, and want to keep cloud save enable.
Launch the game, delete saves, make new save, then close game, and should cause Steam to upload the save with the same name to replace those online.

The problem is you can't delete save games in-game, only in the files. But when I do that, my local save is immediately replaced with my cloud saves. What can I do to stop this?

What you can do is disable cloud save, delete save, start game, make new save with same name, then copy those save, renable cloud save, launch game, then replace save with your new copy, and close game and should replace your online save with latest copy you made.

When you close the game it trigger upload for current save.

Let me know if still encountering the issue.

Yeah, that's what I was doing, when I first did it, a window popped up saying: download cloud save or upload local save to the cloud. I pick the upload option, but nothing happened (my local save was still replaced). After that, the window has never popped up again (yet).

You still got your fresh copy saves with same name?

Try the method one more time since you have cloud save enable. Launch game, and just replace the files with fresh copy, leave the other saves alone, close game, and check if it started uploading save, if it does, then means you got it uploaded, if the fresh save still there.

There two kind of save files I see from the screenshot so not sure which one is your main save.

The saves that say "Joyful" is the DLC. Here's a screenshot of just the main game saves (which is what I care about currently).

I'll try again and get back to you.

It worked! Thanks for the help! I don't know why it didn't work before compared to now, but all I did was:

(with cloud saves enabled)
  1. Launch game
  2. Replace files w/ new save
  3. Close game
  4. Let steam sync game
  5. Check save files through https://store.steampowered.com/account/remotestorageapp/?appid=335670
  6. Reopen game to check save files there
  7. DONE!

1. Disable steam cloud
2. delete AppID Folder of the game
3. start the game
4. enable steam cloud while the game is running
5. close game and start it again
6. select local file and then the cloud files will be overwritten with the new config

About half those steps are not needed to do, and step 2 you don't do. Read which one apply to you below.

A) Replacing save, just launch game with Steam enable, replace save file, force close game that it.

B) Delete save, just launch game with Steam enable, delete save file, force close game that it.

C) If game demands a new file to be made, turn off Steam cloud, delete save, lunch game, make new save then close game, move new save to safe place, turn cloud back on, lunch game, replace save, and force close game that it.
