Tip : How to make your downloads faster :)
I just downloaded a game and it's size is 2GB. Meanwhile i only have a 2 MBPS (Megabyte not megabit).
Estimated download time remaining is 30 minutes. But I just want to play it now, so i remebered an idea about making things faster in windows.

So how to make your downloads faster? Follow the steps carefully (download proccses must be started before this)

1. Open task manager (Right click taskbar and press task manager)

2.Filter the programs with the highest network, then you see which steam is downloading.

3.Right click the steam with highest network usage, and choose go to details. Then the program will be hilighted.

4. (Most important part) Right click again the hilighted program, and choose "Set Priority and click Realtime. If the notification says "Unable to set to realtime, switched to High instead.", it's not a problem at all.

So how does this work? Well so when you click, the system forces the computer to focus on the selcted program. So if you are like browsing while downloading, when the download is set to high priority, you will feel your browser is slower because the internet is focused for the steam download.

So I swear this is not a scam it works for me too.
When I set the priority my download speed rised up from 1.8 MBps to 2.4 MBPS.
Yea so that saves like some big time. So try this tip and if it doesn't work for you then, uhh ask your internet provider that your internet is broken.

I hope this helps:steamthumbsup:
Edit: This is more efective on small internet speeds

I have to limit steam, so it does not slow down everything else.
Not the other way around.

Reducing the amount of background crap your system is doing got a similar effect (to an extent that there's third-party gaming booster programs that do nothing but reducing the amount of background crap) but is a more permanent solution. Generally, installing as nothingg as possible and as much as really needed is a superior solution.
