Possible phishing?
Hello. A few weeks ago I was playing with some random people in a competitive game in csgo, and they invited me to a discord call. Instead of just pasting the link into the game chat, the person decided to add me and then share the discord invite in the steam dm. I have two factor authentication activated for both my steam and discord, though I only activated my discord 2fa after panicking about the situation. Is it possible to lose a steam or discord account just through clicking a link? Thanks a lot.

i don't think so if you not give them any information
but access to your computer or effected it with a trojan ( keylogger) is possibly

If the link is a legit discord invitation link then there's nothing to worry about. It should look like this: https://discord.gg/xxxxxx

I have an antivirus, but is it still possible for my computer to have this kind of software?

Maybe I'm just worrying too much, then. Thanks a lot.

There is no perfect antivirus, at the end of the day it all depends on whether or not the user knows what they're doing.

Hmm, is there a way I can find out if there's a key logger or something on my computer? Sorry, haha

It makes sense why they'd send you the server link in private.
If they posted the link in the public game chat, they'd probably get swarmed with random people joining for whatever reasons.

This is really all you need to be concerned about in regards to the link itself:

Now, being that this is the CS:GO community we're talking about, I wouldn't be surprised if the first thing they say to you in the server is something about "accidentally reporting you" or "vote for my team".
Those are actual phishing scams.

https://www.malwarebytes.com

Malwarebytes or hitman pro scan works for something free and fast.

Although the Discord link probably wasn't a malicious link of sorts, the invite to the platform itself was probably brewing as a scam. Users are often baited to Discord and are then informed that their account is in danger of being banned and they must 'verify' their items with a Steam 'admin' (fake/scammer) or something to that tune.

If anyone randomly invites you to Discord then it should be treated with some suspicion. The good news is you are in no danger unless you dig a hole for yourself.
