Disk Space Filling Up During Download

So whenever I download something on my D: drive it still takes up space on my C: drive. Is this supposed to happen or is this regular? If there's a fix please tell me.

what is default steam lib ? ( see steam multi lib location under Download stem settings.

you could say wrong install at c: drev and you use d: drev in steam lib

but default is still c: drev.

Default lib is my D: drive if that is what you mean.

then it can only be temp OS make doing the task. . ( i moved all years ago to D: drev steam is not on c drev ), i only added it , because of the test with security check with another steam user as test

and dont forget Document or whatever game store data, maybe its this you think about ?

You can move Document to D-drev other small OS disk has done that same as Download folder.

some still have 125GB SSD and then OS take 100GB then you dont want to install anything at OS disk at all
