Downloading Steam videos.
Recently I purchased some tutorial videos on Steam and I'd like to know if there is a way for me to download them to my hard-drive, in the same manner I can download video games. I'd really like to be able to watch them at any time, even when I'm offline.

Do you mean videos or movies?, because as far as I know, Valve removed movies a long time ago.

Regular videos. I mean... they're tutorials, the same stuff you can find on Youtube. That's not considered movies in the same sense as say, Star Wars, right?

In my 13 years of service I haven't seen "tutorial videos" being sold on the steam store.

Are you sure you purchased them on steam and not elsewhere?, also why would anyone selling "tutorial videos" if you can watch them on youtube for completely free.

Here you go buddy

I just want to download these to my hard-drive.

Also, these were never released on Youtube or any other video-sharing platform.

Looks like I've completely missed the videos category on steam.

Oh well, learned something new.

As for downloading videos, I'm not even sure if you can do that. I assume videos can only be watched online on steam.

Perhaps someone else can answer your question as I've never purchased videos on steam, sorry.

You can not download videos you purchased on Steam.
Streaming only. The video streams are DRM protected.
All in the TOS.

At one point Steam had plans to make videos available to download so you could watch them offline.
But with them retiring 99% of the video section 2 years ago those plans never came into fruition.

I wonder how people find these. At least for me, i couldn't find any link on the store front that leads to videos. Hasn't Steam discontinued the video section anyway?

The movie section, yes. Videos are apparently still a thing.
