If it's a server admin they have every right to ban anyone at all, for any reason, either way. Go to a different server.
Private game servers that hosted by others can have their own rules, and can ban for any reason, you can simply go to another server, that's isn't too strict with certain rules.
Another word is "Steam Operating System.
It's used for linux users which allow them to play steam games.
"Steamtos" is not steamOS.
