Thoughts on intel i5 5200u? Is it fine for gaming?

It only has 2 cores and 4 threads but my GPU is nvidia geforce 940m and I have 8gigs of ram so yeah. I can probably run Dota 2 and CSGO on low but can it run genshin at low settings stable 30 or 60 fps?

I'm not that into tech and shizz so I mightve said something wrong here and there so yeah

You might technically be able to run the game. You might be able to get 30FPS under low enough settings.

But strictly technically speaking you're under the minimum requirements listed for the game, but they're admittedly pretty vague. And don't mention what performance you can expect on the minimum hardware.

The minimum graphics listed is a GT1030 which is significantly faster than a mobile 940m.

And your CPU is really closer to a desktop i3 than an i5, with system requirements so vague you have to guess whether they mean the lowest end i5's possible or not. It's not very helpful.

This person seems to be getting a stable 30FPS, and their GeForce 820m is much slower than your 940m. And they're running the same CPU. So that would tell me you should be OK.

I will add in general the hardware is pretty dated and depending on your needs an upgrade wouldn't be a bad idea. Six years on entry level hardware is a pretty good run, but it won't be enough sooner rather than later.

Maybe the next big thing will push you over the edge. But you should be fine with the games you've listed.

Pretty sure that's a desktop i5 with at least 4 physical cores
