how to not ignore words like "the" when sorting games in alphabetical order.

When steam automatically puts a set of games in alphabetical order it skips the word "the" and a few others. I'm wondering if there's any way to change this via something I haven't discovered yet.

There might be some under-the-hood way to edit the sort names for games (or more accurately, there definitely is but it's only a question of how much a hassle it takes), but there's no way I know of to do it through the Steam client itself.

There have been a number of proposals on the Suggestions/Ideas forum asking for various means of editing or re-sorting games, and to them I usually append my own suggestion, which is to make both display names and sort names editable by the user. Steam users could definitely benefit from such a feature.

But as for what you can do right now, it's probably most telling that I haven't seen people suggest any method, even a workaround, that's currently possible. So we'll probably just need to sit and wait patiently.
