Logitech g29 not working on any steam games.

I stopped using my g29 steering wheel a couple months back and ets2, dirt, wrc 9, i had no issues at all. it was all plug and play and then change setting in game to the steering wheel. I plugged it back in the other day and its not registering at all. i have forza horizon 4 through the microsoft store and i load that up and everything is fine. my pc and logitech g hub see that its there but not steam. i’ve tried all the big picture settings by disabling all the controller things. i’ve also tried uninstalling steam and reinstalling it but that only brought up my handbrake on the controller recognition. this is all so frustrating but i don’t want to give up.
