Anyway, seems not to be a Steam client issue - you should ask on the official EA forums. Their community and forum regulars will have more answers for the Origin client's weird quirks.
just because EA sell it here again, that still EA/Origin that has support.
ps.
and its seen as rude not tell OS version after 28 sep, and yet you can still get them on win10 if app use outdate certificates or other end does it.
ps.
this has happend on global scale on many diffrent system ( Linux mac or MS system
it was win7 that trigger it and and took time to ID it, but that dont mean other didnot get effect by it. ) and why many other did not have a issue, this could be same issue.
and yes other network connection issue in top of this dont help.
