Suspected scammer on Discord

Hey, all. A few minutes ago, I received a message on Discord from someone I've not spoken to before and haven't found any messages of. They told me that they had "accidentally reported my account for illegal purchases on the Steam Market". I am now supposed to contact a Steam admin via Discord to get this issue "resolved". Thing is, between the fact that the instructions came on an image, punctuation errors on said image and how implausible I find this whole situation, I am pretty much certain I am being scammed. Can anyone verify whether or not this may be legit?

Stopped at Discord. Valve does not use it.

Definitely a scam. Steam wouldn't contact you on Discord.

You could report them to Discord support in the hopes that they do something about it, but otherwise, ignore them (or block them if Discord has a block feature).

Its entirely a scam.

Any problems with your account will be handled entirely on Steam using the built in support and ticket systems that only staff have access to and they will never be done as a do this or we will restrict the account method they put the restrictions on and then tell you what it takes to remove them if possible.

Nothing steam has to contact you regarding your account will ever happen on a third party platform.

Server admins cannot confirm your story. Everything can be faked.

Sure, but screenshots help. Like I said, the server admin has already banned the scammer. Discord's own moderation team has access to the DMs, so they can confirm my statements.

Its a discord admin. it doesn't really matter if theyre banned or not as they'll just use another account. Thats why its best to just block,report and move on as soon as someone starts up some spiel about your steam account.

And i need to friend a Valve Admin on steam or discord to tell him im innocent so that I will get off the ban list. I sent all of this to Steam Support with screenshots of the messages.
He kept saying sorry and he is really worried im going to get banned.

you ignore it and report or just ignore it, so not sure where the "problem" is?
