GameSir x2 Issues with iOS Steam Link

Help! I bought a GameSir x2 bluetooth controller about a month ago and it now freezes when using Steam Link iOS after a few seconds. It used to last about an hour before this happened. Now it’s almost instantaneous. Not sure what changed. The controller shows that it’s on and connected, but will stop working and no other inputs will work until I turn the controller on and then on again. What’s also new is Steam Link will crash when I try to reconnect. It didn’t used to do that.

It also seems that when I open the initial steam link app menu, prior to connecting to my pc, it works fine. It also works with ps remote play without freezing. But once I connect it to Steam Link iOS it freezes up after a few button pushes. I’ve tried messing with the controller as best i can and I’m in touch with GameSir customer service(slow progress). It’s looking like this may be a steam issue the more I mess with things. Not sure, can’t figure it out. I’m also wondering if there are any similar issues like this with any other Bluetooth controllers.
