Steam randomly installed games without my permissions
Yesterday I've checked I only have about 3-4 games installed on steam. But just now today I see other games that were downloaded by themselves even though I never chose to download them myself. For example Bayonetta, Devil may cry 5, dead by daylight, god eater 3, gta5, postal 2, and some other games.

I do own these games but they aren't supposed to be installed. I am so confused, can anyone answer my concern? I doubt this but am I hacked or something?

No idea.

Just to put your mind at ease you weren't hacked. If your account was hacked and a hacker selected to download games it would download to their system no yours. There is no way to select which system a user uses to download to. The only way a hacker would be able to download games to your specific machine would be to have physical access or remote access.....a RAT. That sort of breach is more complex and downloading a few random games on a users account would just be a complete waste of time.

Anyone else in your household have access to your account?
Family share with someone in your household or Anyone else in your household use Steam? If both install games to the same location when someone else installs it Steam will recognise the files as installed because they are in the same library location you use.

Thanks. But no one else has access to my account. I am the only one. However, I did reinstalled window last month which completely wiped my steam downloads. Could there be something that went wrong and now my hard drives or the OS is trying to reinstall the games again for me?

Are they actually installed or did you accidentally turn off "show only ready to play games"?

Do other people use your computer and use Steam on it?

While I agree, if someone has access to his account, it would be a waste of time to do so.
BUT: it is possible and it is even quite easy.
All you need is Steam Guard/app.
As long your PC is on and Steam is running, you can install games from library on your phone. Or someone else who has access to your phone.
The same happens to me every morning. Whenever I open steam, the launcher starts downloading call of Duty Ghosts. I had deinstalled the game, but for some reason steam tells me there is an update necessary for that game, but I don't want an update.

The multiplayer and single player are separate games on Steam, just to be sure they are both uninstalled?

Hello. I went into the list of Updates and deleted everything, now it seems that Cod Ghosts Singleplayer does not automstically start downloading itself.

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
