Can you please help connect my xbox 360 controller to windows 10?

Because I've got a little problemo connecting it via wireless receiver, you see i was following instructions on how i needed to assign correct drivers for it to work but at some point of this i've accidently done a screw up that made the receiver be recognized as "Uknown USB Device (Port Reset Failed)" by my windows 10 now. I've no idea what am i to do to revert this back to "unknown device" to retry the driver installation procedure, no matter how many times i replug it in it won't change, i tried option "uninstall device" which also didn't help, and if i try installing drivers while receiver recognized as that it won't fly at all, the interface and offered drivers are listed completely differently, so i need to make it look as "unknown device", please assist,

I've got a third party receiver so doubt it'll work, and besides i didn't hear that mc offers supports xbox 360 devices for pc, its far too old for them to care, but of course ill give it a try anymay since im at loss for what to do

you'd have to refer to the manufacturer of rthat receiver. note though i've never heard of a 3rd party receiver for x360 controllers that actually worked so you'r elikely SOL

the device itself is fine, i've had for many years and it worked pefect, its only now that i ran into the issue. I wish you read my thread though where i stated that the promblem im having is connected to the device manager and how it won't read the receiver as it supposed to anymore, rather than to the receiver itself.

If the controller works fine before, then i assume usb port having issues, try another port, or could be the cable itself.

You should try uninstalling the xbox controller driver from the device manager.

appreciate the suggestions, but i already tried both of this basic methods and had no luck, now im doing the googling on the matter and its not looking up for me, but at least there's always windows reinstallation that can be performed as the last resort, that's relieving
